#1 SteelSeries Arctis 9X
This wireless headset is excellent for audio monitoring and gaming, and supports Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connections. You can use it wired or while it charges via USB. It also has a Discord-certified noise cancellation retractable microphone, swivel cups to allow it to rest on your shoulders and support for DTS HeadphoneX:X v2.0. The puck-shaped dongle is able to connect to the headset via an analog 3.5mm input. My only complaint with the Arctis 9X was that it felt a little too tight around my head, which is odd considering the other Arctis models are very comfortable.
#2 Razer BlackShark V2
These headsets aren’t the best, but Razer’s BlackShark headsets offer a more complete option if you want a headset that can be used for both work or play. The V2 is my favorite gaming headset, and I prefer it to the V2 X because of its additional PC features like support for THX Spatial audio, microphone settings in Razer’s Synapse utility, and a USB dongle. It has a better cord, removable microphone with foam cover, and breathable fabric on ear cup padding.
#3 Razer Kraken X
Razer Kraken X offers the best sound quality and comfort of any of the wired headsets. The flexible 3.5mm wired connection makes it compatible with almost every platform.
#4 Corsair HS70 Bluetooth gaming headset
Although it is useful, the ability to monitor your phone or other audio via Bluetooth with your headset and simultaneously use a separate, lag free connection for gaming is often an additional cost. Corsair avoids that trap by adding Bluetooth to a wired headset. Usually, it’s only available in wireless models. Stereo HS70 supports USB for laptops or desktops. It also has 3.5mm analog cable to connect to all consoles. The battery lasts for approximately 30 hours, and the noise-canceling mic is removable. The company’s iCue application for Windows and MacOS allows you to access EQ presets, adjust mic and tone levels, as well as adjust mic level. It’s not quite as expensive as some gaming headsets with Bluetooth on either side, but it’s still a very basic model.
#5 Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset
Although it does have some design and feature quirks the Xbox Wireless Headset for $89 is a good deal. Simultaneous wireless, Bluetooth and chat-mix balance are typically only available in higher-end models. Here, the performance and sound quality are well worth the price.
#6 HyperX Cloud Alpha S
The HyperXCloud Alpha S sounds great and feels great. We loved the intuitive controls that made it simple to change volume levels and activate surround audio with just a touch.
#7 Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2
The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 wireless headset was our top pick. It features cooling gel-infused ear cups, tons of useful features, and the unique ability for both your phone or console to pair with it.
